Therefore, the most basic rule is to clean your beanbag furniture regularly, depending upon where you lace it and how regularly it is used. But be careful not to use harsh cleaning fluids, including some normal household solvents, instead use mild detergents diluted in water. Also, avoid using rough scrubs (which may scratch the surface) in favor of a soft cloth. If you have to remove deep-seated stains, try using a soft-bristle toothbrush. Ideally, do not let a stain dry up at all. Clean the affected area as soon as a stain forms. And, of course, never position any beanbag close to a source of heat because vinyl in particular melts fairly easily.

Finally, any beanbag user will tell you that refilling a beanbag gone flat is very much part and parcel of life with any beanbag article, particularly beanbag chairs. Therefore, make sure you know the refilling technique. Be warned, because while the refilling operation may seem simple, polyurethane beads are devilishly tricky to handle, as anyone who has done so will tell you. Chances are they will drive you hysterical before you’ve finally managed to gather them all, but then look on the bright side, at least you have had the fun of owning a bean bag!
